I thank you for your interest in TOL and for considering membership with us.  Membership in a local church is not required in scripture to receive salvation.  However, it is very important to help us establish a sense of belonging and provide a framework for the local church to function as it accomplishes the work of the Lord.

Our vision is to provide a place of acceptance where we can worship together and learn the truth of God's Word.  It is my goal as Pastor to win as many people to Christ as possible and see to it that they are taught the ways of the Lord so they reach maturity in the faith.  It is also imperative that each believer discover his or her ministry gifts according to New Testament teaching and find a place of service in the local church. 

By no means are the materials enclosed on this page an exhaustive display of all we believe and teach, but only to serve as an outline of the fundamental truths.  Below are some questions you may have that can be answered at this time.

Are you affiliated with a denomination?

The answer is yes.  Our "covering" is with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, which is one of the oldest Pentecostal denominations in America.  They provide leadership past the local church in areas of instruction and accountability to the local pastor and staff.  They provide many other services and ministries that complement the local church.  In addition, we are able to take part in exciting opportunities for our youth, such as summer youth camps and Talent Quest.  You can visit their website at www.iphc.org.

What is required to become a member?

• Salvation by faith in Christ
• Agreement with basic Biblical doctrines
• Willingness to support God's work with your tithe/monetary donations
• Make yourself available for service to the local church
• Support the vision of TOLM
• Strive to live the Spirit-filled life.

How can I get started?

Members are received into the church every third Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:30 or 11:00 a.m.  We give an invitation to come forward if you wish to join but understand that it can sometimes be intimidating to stand before a large group of people.  If this is the case for you, simply fill out the membership forms available at the Information Center and you'll become a part of the Tree of Life family!
