Tree of Life Young Adults is geared towards college students and young professionals from 18-29 years old! Each Sunday morning, we gather to study the Bible and build community while enjoying light refreshments! We also put together fun activities, and host monthly girls’ and guys’ small groups where we share a meal and dig deeper into God’s Word!

While TOLYA is the abbreviation/acronym for Tree of Life Young Adults, the word “Tolya” also derives from the Greek word “anatolē.” This word is used 10 times in the Bible, meaning “sunrise, from the east.” One of its uses is found in Luke 1:78-79, which says, “Because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” This is TOLYA’s theme verse, as we strive to follow Jesus’ example and spread the good news of the gospel, bringing light to darkness everywhere we go!
Thanks for checking out our page! I am originally from New Jersey but came to Lynchburg to attend Liberty University. After graduating with my Master of Divinity in 2022, I stayed here in Virginia at Tree of Life Ministries!
I love working with TOL Young Adults! The young adult ministry already has many amazing people involved, and I know there are many exciting times ahead, especially as we get our ministry at Cornerstone established!
Our young adults class on Sunday mornings is the highlight of my week, and leading the guy's small group is a blast as well! We explore fun theological topics, eat A LOT, and always laugh. Hey there! I have lived in Lynchburg for 13 years and I have thoroughly enjoyed attending Tree of Life! I serve on the worship team, and in the women’s ministry, and I am the young adult girls' leader. It brings me great joy to serve the Lord and love His people! That being said, I am currently working on my Bachelor of Science in Ministry Leadership with an emphasis in Music and Worship through Lee University Online!
I am excited to see where the Lord leads the Young Adults ministry! TOLYA is a great group of people who are passionate about pursuing God and growing in their knowledge of Him and His Word! Oh, and we aren’t afraid to have a little fun!
